Workplace health and safety

Hackart Pty Ltd trading as Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass as a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) is committed to ensuring, as far as reasonably practicable, the health and safety of all workers and other persons which may be affected by our work.

To do this, Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass will:

  • develop and maintain safe systems of work, and a safe working environment.
  • consult with workers and health and safety representatives as nominated to enhance workplace health and safety.
  • provide protective clothing and equipment and enforce its use.
  • provide supervision, information, and training for workers to make sure they are safe from injury and risks to their health and safety.
  • assess, control, or remove workplace risks.
  • ensure the safe use and maintenance of plant/equipment and substances.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation.
  • provide workers with adequate facilities for the welfare of workers.
  • Monitor and review this policy to ensure it remains relevant and up to date.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections.

Each Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass worker has an obligation to:

  • Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and ensure that their acts or omission
  • do not adversely affect the health and safety of others in the workplace.
  • Follow reasonable instructions given by Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass to protect their health and safety.
  • Not wilfully interfere with or misuse items or facilities provided by Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass.
  • Identify and report any workplace incidents or hazards to the Director.

Other persons such as visitors who may access a Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass workplace are obligated to:

  • Not put themselves or any other person at the workplace at risk.
  • Comply with all Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass workplace health and safety instructions.

This policy applies to all business operations and sites upon which Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass operates, with
compliance required by all Officers, Workers and Other Persons as defined under the Workplace Health and Safety Act 2020.

Environmental Policy


To work with employees, contractors, visitors, and our clients to achieve compatibility between economic development and the maintenance of the environment to minimise


Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass will endeavour to minimise impact on the following:

  • Atmospheric emissions
  • Site contamination and spills
  • Noise Emission
  • Damage to and flora and fauna on site
  • Unnecessary energy consumption

To fulfil this commitment, Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass will observe all environment laws and promote environmental awareness among all employees to increase understanding of environmental matters.
Lawn-Art Dirt & Grass will actively take part in the following:

  • Enhance energy use efficiency
  • Identify waste streams and options for effective waste management e.g., re use offcuts
  • Improve purchasing (reduce waste, use less harmful/volatile chemicals)
  • Improve storage (reduce quantity, waste and spills)
  • Emergency planning
  • Improve education/awareness amongst employees.
  • Notify relevant authority in the event of a major environmental impact.


  1. We will recycle as much as practical.
  2. Identify any energy saving initiatives and reduce power usage and
  3. Other environmental efficiencies as identified.

Any issues identified will be addressed promptly and rectifications will be put in place as soon as practicable.
